DEH Holds Digital Storytelling Workshop

The Department of Arts and Humanities recently held a three-day workshop on Digital Storytelling. Facilitated by Ms. Lavina Ambreen Ahmed, a faculty member of the Creative Writing Program at Rutgers University, New Jersey, the first workshop was held on July 25, 2019 where students learned about transforming a narrative into film or a video essay, using different video editing software. Themes and ideas were discussed, and students left in groups, ready to tackle issues close to their hearts.

The second workshop was held on August 1, 2019. At this workshop, students showed their rough cuts to the facilitator for feedback. Students also critiqued each other. Students had one day to incorporate the feedback before the Showcasing of their videos on August 3, 2019.
