Al Mahmud Rumman is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English and Humanities at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He has over a decade of teaching experience across different levels of education. He holds a BA (Hons) and an MA in English from the University of Chittagong, alongside an MA in English Language Teaching (ELT) from the University of Dhaka. His primary research interests include sociolinguistics, pragmatics, digital media discourse, critical discourse analysis, and second language acquisition. An active researcher, Rumman has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Scopus-indexed publications, and has presented his research at various prestigious national and international conferences across Asia. His recent research explores the intersections of language, social media, public discourse, and social movements in contemporary Bangladesh. Alongside his academic pursuits, Rumman is a published poet. His Bengali poetry collection, Megher Terracotta (Terracotta of Clouds), was published in 2024.
